Europol announced on Monday that its European Cybercrime Center (EC3) has joined forces with the security firm FireEye.

According to a release, EC3 and FireEye recently concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and will share knowledge and expertise on cybercrime in order to improve detection and better monitor trends.

“It’s a great example of global partnerships that can be put in place between businesses and law enforcement to help bring cases to closure and help slow down attacks,” Tony Cole, vice president and global government CTO at FireEye, told SCMagazine.com.
